Dear Principle,

In The Bin Touring Short Film Festival and Educational Program is coming your way, and your school has been invited to participate. In The Bin has built a strong reputation for taking film making away from Metropolitan Centers and into wider communities with our Program.

This Program offers participants the opportunity to gain hands on experience while creating their own short film. We supply cameras, and editing systems for the duration of three days and they create their masterpieces. There are two conditions, the film must be under 5mins and represent the elements in there community.

Numbers are limited to a maximum of 24 students per workshop four short films will be made by each workshop and the students will be split into four groups. They will shoot the film as a team with equal participation and all hold the credit of Director. This will teach the abilities of working and thinking as a group in the process of creating their own short film.

The Education Program has been used in various situations buy schools however the minimum age for a participant is 14. Students are encouraged to think of short film ideas prior to the arrival of In The Bin, however once in the community In The Bin will assist in developing the ideas and planning their shoot. Group building exercises will also be held as an opening activity to the program.

The students will then have to opportunity present their short films as part of the In The Bin Short Film Festival in your community. Where their friends, family, and public are invited to attend. Your school will also receive DVD copy of all the films for your own use, In The Bin holds no copyright of the films and we are happy for your school to use the films as you wish. We do ask that you keep us informed on the films and any progressions of the students.
