HIGH SCHOOL SHORT FILM AWARDS 2012
Congratulations to the many schools that competed in the Moviemania High School Short Film Awards 2011. Well done you should be very proud of your achievement, the judges had a very difficult time choosing winners.
To the 2012 entries good luck and remember you are the future filmmakers of Australia or even the world. Make sure to enjoy yourselves while making your films, and remember it takes a team to make a film complete.
I wish you all good luck and success in your entries. And I hope you will join us celebrate at the Gala Award Night Ceremony held (tbc)
Students who have completed their films in the year 2011 also have a chance of submitting their films in the Alumnae Catagory for 2012. Don't forget to check out the submission packs, all the information will be included.
2012 Awards
Some of the schools that have entered the Moviemania awards have come from all over Australia and here are some of the areas they have come from:-
Mackay, Bundaberg, Townsville, Toowoomba, Southport, Caboolture, Thuringawa, Maroochydore, Mugerumbah, Woombye, Noosa, Pimlico, Nambour, Alice Springs, Bowen, Western Australia, Melbourne, Sydney and many schools within Brisbane.
It is all too exciting, and I know the schools will enjoy the opportunity of seeing their films on the big screen and reading the reports from the Experts in the film industry, and lets not forget the chance they have to win some amazing prizes and work experience opportunities. Award night is a night like the Academy Awards and has all the glamour and glitz and even the red carpet for our future filmmakers and stars.
