THE WINNERS 2011

13 Lucky Filmmakers walked away with Scholarship.

Qantm gave the winning animation student Rhys Baker from Stretton State College a $6,000 Scholarship. 1 Week Work Experience at The Cutting Edge was taken by the top 3 editors. PHFXD gave our top 3 filmmakers online scholarship for 1 term. Reflectors sponsored by Edit Share and V-Play. TV were won by the top film winners. Thank you to John Barry Sales for sponsoring a $800 Tripod to our 3rd best film winners. A Cinematography 12 mth Membership from the Australian Cinematography Society was given to out winning cinematographer."A Atomos Ninja HDM1 10bit Prores Field Recorder from Corsair Solutions went to the winning school Sheldon SHS, Corsair Solutions also gave for 2nd place to Good Shepherd Lutheran College a Full Edius 6 Software Pack and to our 3rd Place school Kenmore SHS a Full Edius Neo 3 Software pack. All up there were 9 - 12 mth Scholarships were given to our winning actors from Stagecraft Acting School, Boom Microphone from Rodemic went to Good Shepherd Lutheran College for 2nd best film. And Provisual Australia gave Sheldon for Best Film a Boom Microphone as well. Qpix gave our best scriptwriter of the night a 12 mth Membership. Head-UP film Services gave our Set designing winners 3 great. Our Make-up Sponsors Elspa Gave our 3 winners - great make-up books. Our costume sponsor Sparkes Films gave our winners a book from the world renown Film Costume Specialist Mr. Lamont. Our winning Alumnae winner from Sheldon-Roy Kolberg was given a 3D Camera and the 2011 Filmmaker of the year Curtis Maher from Narangba Valley SHS also received a Hard Drive Video Camera from The Good Guys in Browns Plains. Hello and welcome to the Moviemania web-page, my name is Anita Smith, I am the Director/Producer of Moviemania and I live in Brisbane, Australia. I am a great lover of all the aspects involved in the Movie Industry, and over the years I have collected many rare and classic films, autobiographies, posters and movie memorabilia from the 1920's to the 1960's. The films and the stars of the Golden Oldies era have always been my major passion, this intern had encouraged me to start my career on the Radio, with a program called - "Moviemania"where I talked about stars bio's and I did film reviews about classic films. We also celebrated our 5TH year on air in last September 2010. My continued search to find out about the film industries and the many experts that are involved behind the scenes had encouraged me to hold the first Moviemania Expo here in Brisbane. Many film industry experts were there to support Moviemania by coming out from behind the camera's and were not only advising but educating the public with all of their vast knowledge. Also lots of Movie Memorabilia was on hand for the collectors to purchase. Those that came along on the day had a chance to share their passions with other collectors.
